Elianna Boeringa

Elianna Boeringa is a violinist originally from the Hamilton area with an active career freelancing and teaching in the GTA. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance as well as a Diploma in Chamber Music at Wilfrid Laurier University with high honours, she is currently pursuing a Masters in Violin Performance at the University of Toronto, studying with Erika Raum. She received a fellowship as a member of the Irene Miller Graduate String Quartet, the University of Toronto’s flagship string quartet. Elianna holds a position as Principal Second Violinist with the Huronia Symphony Orchestra in Barrie and is currently working the same position at the Georgian Bay Symphony in Owen Sound. She regularly plays with the Ontario Philharmonic, the Whispering River Orchestra and the Windsor Symphony, among others. She worked as concertmaster with the University of Toronto’s Contemporary Music Ensemble during its 2024-2025 season. Elianna’s work extends into teaching, both within undergraduate chamber music and musical skills courses and with her decade-old private violin studio. Her passion for music includes contemporary music and especially anything with a beautiful melody! She enjoys collaborating with others in music and beyond and, with a recent move to Toronto, has been enjoying adventuring in and exploring the city.
