Music and arts programs are often the first to be cut from budgets. On top of that, coming out of the pandemic, many kids haven’t had the chance to experience everything that a music program can be. Music as a career is often not seen as viable – although at Bandology we aren’t looking to make musicians, but rather well-rounded kids with lots of possibilities in their lives.
The more kids play and perform, the more they are able to absorb the myriad of benefits – transferable skills like self-confidence, focus, collaboration, leadership, time management, organization and more; more likely to have improved mental health, get good grades, be offered scholarships; and overall be more well-rounded people both now and in the future.
As a small non-profit, we rely on donations, grants and government funding to help us on our mission to provide, support and advocate for more music for more kids. Your donation, whether big or small, will go directly towards music programming for kids and youth in your community.
Feel free to contact us at info@bandology.ca about making a corporate donation or a monthly repeating donation.
Thank you to our recent donors:
Have a used instruments collecting dust in the basement? Donate it to Bandology! If you have a concert band instrument, we’ll get it fixed up and playable and loan it out to a keen music student in need as part of our Instrument Lending Library.
Pianos are not concert band instruments and, unfortunately, we don’t have any facilities to house pianos nor funds for moving and tuning them. However, tag us on social media or send us an email and we’ll happily share info on free pianos to our followers.
