With recent budget cuts and teacher shuffling, our children’s music education is at risk and your help is needed to advocate for more music for more kids.
At Bandology, our goal is to bring more music to kids and youth. One of the ways to do that is by advocating for changes and improvements to school music programs that help children succeed in school and in life.
Learn why advocating for music education is important and how you can start doing it now.
The more kids play and perform, the more they are able to absorb the myriad of benefits, including transferable skills like self-confidence, focus, collaboration, leadership, time management, organization and more; more likely to get good grades, be on the honour roll, get accepted to university, be offered scholarships; be more well-rounded and attractive to employers both now and in the future.

Parents are the best advocates for music education.
Especially, when it comes to making changes at the government, school board or administration level. As taxpayers and community members, parents have a real voice when it comes to advocating for changes that help children succeed in school and in life.
