Tracey Durand (she/her) is a business lawyer who has worked with clients across various industries for over 20 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western University and a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. She was a proud band member during her high school years and a strong supporter of music and arts education for children. Her past non-profit work includes serving as Executive Director and Board Member of the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation in Canada. As a mother to two budding artists, one a regular Play A Gig performer, Tracey understands the importance of the arts.

Tracey Ehl (she/her) is an environmental planner, facilitator and entrepreneur who has worked collaboratively with communities locally and internationally to achieve their goals. Music, especially by Canadian artists, fuels her days. Tracey is a lifelong learner and recently finished her PhD, which centred on understanding how people in Ontario are connected to water, with focus on water sustainability, ecopsychology and transformative learning. Tracey is happy to support innovative music learning for all.

Bailey Dugas (she/her) is a music educator, singer, clarinetist, ukulele enthusiast and general lover of all things to do with music. Hailing from Beeton, Ontario, Bailey completed her B.A. with a double major in Music and English at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, and her B.Ed. at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at University of Toronto. Bailey has been a secondary school music teacher with the Halton District School Board for over ten years, specializing in Concert Band and Choir. She recently completed her M.A. in Community Music at her alma mater, Wilfrid Laurier University. Her graduate research focused on the evolution of the Concert Band centred model of secondary school music education. Bailey lives in Guelph with her partner, and is thrilled to be part of the team at Bandology.

Dr. Ryan Deschamps (he/him) is a professor of Computer Science at Conestoga College with over 20 years of experience as a librarian, educator and researcher. Originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, he graduated in English (emphasis in Canadian Studies), Information Studies and Public Administration at Dalhousie University, where he assisted in teaching Listening to Music 1000 in the Music Department. After years of working as a Library Administrator in Halifax and Regina, he left librarianship to earn his PhD in public policy at the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy using data science to understand online social networks and their influence on public policy. Since then, he has worked on a range of research projects that have involved web archiving, quantum computing and ocean data management until finally working at Conestoga College as a professor teaching data analytics, software development and user experience design. As a hobbyist, he plays bass guitar and loves singing in choirs, recitals and karaoke.

Débora Abreu is a Brazilian-Canadian vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and educator with over 20 years of experience in performance and teaching. Passionate about creativity and community, she brings a holistic and inclusive approach to music education. Starting piano at age three, Débora has studied guitar, flute, drums and voice, blending classical technique with contemporary styles. She holds a degree in Speech-Language Pathology, deepening her understanding of vocal health and expressive communication. Since 2002, Débora has taught voice and music to students of all ages, both privately and in schools across the Greater Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo regions. Through her studio, Voice and Music, she helps students find confidence and joy in their own sound. In 2015, she released her debut album Do Meu Jeito, featuring original compositions rooted in Brazilian rhythms and personal storytelling. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Music Therapy at Wilfrid Laurier University, Débora combines her expertise in voice, education, and wellness. As a member of Bandology’s Board of Directors, she is committed to supporting youth creativity and advocating for accessible, diverse, and inspiring music experiences for all.

Lisa Michaels (she/her) is a self-employed marketing consultant and serial entrepreneur who has run multiple businesses over the past 25+ years. She has a B.A. from York University and a M.A. in Community Music from Wilfrid Laurier University. Lisa has volunteered with the Pan Am Games, Oakville Waterfront Festival, Burlington Youthfest and served as an English language instructor in Spain.
