Ryan MacKinnon

Ryan Mackinnon is a skilled percussionist who has been playing for over 8 years, where he has experienced a wide variety of opportunities.  He has played in a nationally ranked gold medal award-winning band for all 4 years in high school, where he received the opportunity to perform all over North America. Ryan is now studying Music Performance at Laurier University where he has been very successful and has had the chance to play in both Wind Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra. Some of the esteemed educators Ryan has studied and worked with include; Brennan Connolly, Dave Campion of Laurier’s percussion faculty, Michelle Colton (president of the Ontario Percussive Arts Society), Richard Burrows (Member of TORQ Percussion and president of Open Ears Festival) and Jill Ball of Western’s percussion faculty.
