Bandology was founded in 2017 with the establishment of our Band Camp program. From that one week of camp came more and more ideas for music programming and community involvement. Bandology’s goals and plans have only grown since then, to include:

Music makes a difference in children’s lives for so many reasons. It improves self-confidence and focus, and helps with the learning of important transferable skills such as collaboration, leadership, time management and organization. It has a huge impact on mental health and social skills. It helps students earn scholarships and get into post-secondary education and supports them on their journey into jobs and future careers.
Here at Bandology, we’re not trying to make superb musicians; our goal has always been to support kids and youth in our programs to become well-rounded people as they grow up. The skills kids get in music last a lifetime!
More music for more kids via education, collaboration and community.
To provide opportunities for youth to play, perform and be inspired, to support the music community in building their programs and outreach, and advocate for more music education to policy makers, politicians and the greater community.
Land Acknowledgement
Bandology acknowledges that the land on which we live and work today is rich in the history and modern traditions of many First Nations and the Métis. We operate in various locations, Halton, Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo, on the traditional territory of the Attiwonderonk, the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples, and the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. We recognize the significance of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum to this land and offer our respect and gratitude to all of the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island who have stewarded, loved & defended this land for centuries.
