Join Our Board of Directors

Bandology is a proud Canadian non-profit dedicated to supporting more music for more kids via education, collaboration and community. We are currently seeking applications for new Board members to work collaboratively with Bandology’s Board of Directors to further their mission of more music for more kids in our community.

Board Responsibilities

The time commitment is approximately 20 hours per year with five to six scheduled meetings taking place about every two months.

• Provide advice, strategic direction and oversight to the Bandology team based on their specific skill sets and attributes
• Serve as advocates for Bandology and promote its mission, programs and services within their networks and communities
• Attend board meetings and other occasional meetings that may arise
• Read and review agendas, minutes, policies and various other materials as needed
• Contribute expertise and resources to further Bandology’s goals
• As their schedule allows, attend Bandology’s events and programs include recognition events, Band Camps and workshops
• Attend networking events in their communities and expand Bandology’s network

About You:

• Experience in non-profits, arts/music organizations or community organizations
• An interest in community service 
• A passion for music and a belief in the long-term value of music education would useful
• A police check and adherence to our vaccination policy (all staff and board must be fully vaccinated) will be required for the successful candidate

Bandology is especially looking for board members with the following experiences:

• Fundraising
• Grant writing
• Human resources
• Education
