As a professional musician and music educator, Brian Vincent is available for hire as a visiting conductor for your school concert band.
Music has always been a very important part of Brian’s life. He has been playing the trumpet since Grade 4. Brian studied music at Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Toronto (Bachelor of Music in Performance Degree, Honours Standing). He completed his Professional Development Program at Simon Fraser University.

Brian joined the Halton District School Board as a music teacher in 2003. After a few years as an elementary school music teacher, Brian became head music teacher at T. A. Blakelock High School. Brian guided both schools to multiple awards at the provincial and national levels.
During his tenure at Blakelock, the music program has continued to grow each year. Some highlights include performance tours to: Boston, including a performance at the Berklee School of Music; Chicago, competing in the North Shore Concert Band Festival and earning first place honours out of all high school bands; Cuba, including a joint public performance with National Concert Band of Cuba; and China, where they played on the Great Wall of China.
Brian helps to support the development of young musicians in the ensembles he has conducted. Brian focuses on his musicians as learners regardless of their age and experience.
